Located next to the immaculate Hotel Chandler, 12:31 is a decent little lounge where happy hour (Monday-Friday from 4:30pm-6:30pm) sees cheap beer and exotic cocktails available from the swirly marble bar. A solid selection of wines starts at $10 a glass and 12:31 offers free stand-up comedy every Thursday from 7pm-8pm; the bartender says it gets downright raunchy, so be forewarned if your idea of funny is more Jay Leno than Dane Cook. Potentially offensive comedy aside, this is a great spot to chill or to catch some stand-up without worrying about paying a cover or two-drink minimum. And if things go well, there’s always the option of getting a room, wink wink.
