10 Downing: Following a year of pesky construction delays, New York resto 10 Downing has finally opened. Boasting an impressive twenty-one floor-to-ceiling windows, this prime corner space, designed by Meyer Davis, offers scenesters a bustling bar accompanied by an elegant dining area accented with maple wood details. The art collection, curated by Tracy Williams, includes works by Alex Katz. Chef Jason Neroni, formerly of Porcetta, serves up a solid Mediterranean-American menu that incorporates local produce. The appetizer of braised beets ($12) is light and subtly tangy, while grilled lamb chops ($28) will satisfy the epicurean carnivore. These artful entrees are sure to be the icing on the cake. |
