| Good thing we didn’t eat lunch—there are all sorts of munchies here to help absorb the enormous amount of alcohol being poured. Given that this is a Food Network event (also hosted by Food & Wine and Travel+Leisure magazines), they’re delicious. Tuscan chef Cesare Casella slices prosciutto from his forthcoming Salumeria Rosi, Olana chef/owner Albert di Meglio offers pumpkin tortellini that explodes with flavor, and Forge’s mohawked chef/owner Marc Forgione (pictured middle) hands us crème fraiche agnolotti with baked potato, pancetta, and truffle essence. We ask if he took the day off for the event. “This is what chefs do on their days off." Whatevs, dude: sounds to us like this beats skiing. |
