We can’t tell if Peggy is perpetually pink from the male chauvinist comments that her coworkers make around her or if she’s just naturally that fresh-faced. Either way, you too can be a blushing beauty by combining Benefit’s Brightening Face Primer (14) ($28), followed by foundation and a few strokes of Posietint (15) ($28) on each cheek. To keep the look natural, dab Smashbox’s O-Gloss (16) ($32) on lips for a custom shade of pink that matches your complexion. As for hair, our only quibble is with Peggy’s “wispies”—for a modern update, we suggest cutting a thicker layer of bangs, letting them grow longer than one inch, and curling them under with a Conair Satin Finish Ceramic Instant Heat Curling Iron (17) ($25.99). In the end, you’ll end up looking innocent no matter what secrets you’re hiding.
If all else fails, just keep it classic, ladies! The retro “Mad Men” look is all about the simplicity of black liner paired with a red lip. As Taylor notes, “It’s the little black dress of beauty.” |
