Think Pink
April 24, 2009

One of the prettiest things about Natalie Portman's Oscar dress was the striking pink color, and she won’t be the only one to shine in this optimistic hue this season. We’ve selected the newest selection of pink things to get you in style.

K.O.
The sporty workout style of this tank and bandeau combo by Kerrigan by Daryl K ($181) makes it very fashion forward—and it’s pink!

Bag It
Even fashion snobs who dismissed Coach in the past for their ubiquitous prints have conceded that their new line of monochromatic leather bags is lust-worthy. The Madison Leather Shoulder Bag ($498) is the perfect accessory for a casual day out. Wear it as a shoulder bag or snap on the longer strap for a cross-chest carry.

In Vena Veritas
Indie label Vena Cava delivers up real sex appeal with this Imperial Dress ($150). It’s an excellent choice for parties, but so appealing you’ll be tempted to wear it in the daytime, too.

Bold Steps
A casual feel with eye-catching pink iridescent straps, Express’ High Gloss Wedge Thongs ($29.50) are affordable, comfortable and perfect to wear with for shorts, skirts and jeans.

Peeps
If you weren’t born with legs like Heidi Klum and could use a little help in the height department, order a pair of Michael Antonio’s Peep Toe Sandals ($40). These shoes add 3 3/4” inches of height and have a unique chunky buckle.

Baby, I’m Yours
No look is complete without a little shadow. New from Nars is this eyeshadow in Baby Girl ($22), a cotton candy pink with gold flecks. It creates the ideal pigment and texture for your eyes.

Impeccable Accent
Goodbye diamonds and hello to the next best thing—Swarovski crystal. Viv & Ingrid Wrap Hoops ($99) are the perfect 14K gold-filled hoops to brighten up your face.

Pretty in Pink
Heighten your feminine style with Lilly Pulitzer’s pleasingly pink and flirty Wink Eau De Parfum ($48-$68). Sparkling pear nectar, pink freesia and lush gardens combine with lily blossom violets and amber to give you a great new scent for spring.

A Rose Is a Rose
Stash your winter watch and liven up the time with D&G Dolce & Gabbana’s Rose Gold Milano Watch ($195). The metallic finish and rose gold finish flatter all skin tones.

Silk Road
ISO an evening clutch? This FIAZCO Melanie Collection silk bag ($65) makes for delicious arm candy.

These it’s really the small things that make all the difference. I saw Joan Rivers on QVC and she said that she was wearing a red jacket because how could she be blue if she’s wearing red! Wearing color like these pink pics puts a smile on my face just looking at it..do away with black and load up on color..a small thing like that can have a big effect on your day!
