On the Fringe: Fringe Accessories
May 29, 2008
Fringe is in! Of course we can thank Ms. Moss for starting the trend with those wispy bangs, but lately there has been a surge in fashion for all things fringe. Before you go gung-ho and buy a pair of frumpy Minnetonka boots, though, consider these versatile options that range from flapper fabu to Boho chic.

Fringe Accessories

Fringe Unhinged
Urban Outfitters’ Suede Fringe Hobo (1)($78) will bring out the urban cowgirl in you. Yee-haw!

Shake Your Tailfeather
Tired of flip flops? Banish those babies to the back of the closet and kick it up a notch with Free People’s Fringe Sandal (2)($118).

This Side of Paradise
Make a stir at summer cocktails parties in Nannette Lepore’s Flapper Fringe Mini (3)($240). Gatsby would certainly approve.

Soft Serve
Slip into something a little more comfortable with Jeffery Campbell’s Fringe Moccasin (4)($68). Bonus: these are the kind of tassles you can wear in front of your mom and your man.

Warrior Woman
TopShop’s Hackle High Leg Fringe (5)(£25) may border on outrageous, but if anyone gives you grief, keep ‘em quiet with a roundhouse kick that would make Chuck Norris proud.

Cover Up
Fickle spring weather could leave you scrambling for more cover up. Play it safe with Pixie Market’s Fringe Scarf (6)($85).

Pop that Clutch
Complete that Boho look you’ve been perfecting with Roberto Cavalli’s Fringed Bracelet Frame Bag (7)($1,565). Shake it don’t break it!
