Early this summer, when a fellow Shecky’s staffer suggested that biker boots would be all the rage come fall, we’ll admit we balked a little bit. Thankfully, you don’t have to be a leather daddy or motorcycle mama to indulge in this smokin’ hot trend. Ladies, start your engines—here are our picks for biker boots that really make our motor run.

Aldo’s suede Latoria Boots (1) ($120) not only look tough, but dare we say, comfortable, as well! Who knew looking like a badass could be so painless?

Full Throttle
These Marc by Marc Jacobs 3 Buckle Biker Boots (2) ($955) are certainly not for the skittish, but we love that he uses all the bells and whistles (or in this case, buckles and zippers) to add some flash to ordinary ankle boots.

Easy Rider
Call us crazy, but these “Combat” Tall Leather Boots (3) ($475) from DKNY remind us of the Mods and Rockers scooting around in Quadrophenia. Lace ‘em up and go along for the ride!

Boss Hog
Whether you’re dressing up or just keeping it casual, you’ll look like a weekend warrior in Miu Miu’s Buckle Biker Boots (4) ($990).

Jessie’s Girl
We were in Shoe Mania the other day, and we must admit we were drawn to these “Kiss” boots (5) ($198) by…Jessica Simpson. Before you run screaming, remember that even her most recent album has been getting good reviews. Give it up for Jessica!

Over the Top

Totally Fried
And don’t forget the original and best biker boot—the Frye Harness Boot (7) ($209), worn by a biker chick friend and now sold at chichi online boutique Revolve. There goes the neighborhood!
