How did you become a designer?
After my experience in the fashion industry it seemed natural to create my own line of jewelry to make my own statement. What’s your inspiration? I derive the inspiration for my collection from my Indian heritage. In the sixteenth century, women of Mughal royalty were given large mirror rings to be worn on their thumbs to check their appearance to ensure they were flawless at all times. My middle name, Kaur, means “princess” in Punjabi, creating a perfect platform for Kaur Collection. I has fused this concept with the look of art deco for a totally modern collection. A lover of statement jewelry along with a love of mirror detailing, I know that these pieces will stand out and make a bold yet refined statement. What’s your hometown? Virginia Beach, VA If you had to pick a favorite design from your collection, what would it be? I would probably say the earrings, because when you are in a crowd they catch light from so far away and you just can’t help and look at them. Every time I wear them people spot me out in a crowd and come and compliment me and ask me who designs them. What are you wearing right now?
