I had chronic insomnia and hated my position as head of hardware and software departments at NYU Libraries. I left my high-profile job when I had my five year old and never looked back.

What’s your inspiration?

I love colors. I love to play with the stones and Swarovski crystals. My inspiration comes from playing around with color combinations.

If you had to pick a favorite design from your collection, what would it be and why?

Peruvian Blue Opal and Gold Pearl necklace. I love Peruvian Blue Opal because it's a beautiful shade of aqua with streaks of brown and tan in it. The gold pearls bring out the brown tones mixed in with the aqua. This necklace looks great on both blondes and brunettes and is also a great fit with jeans as well as a business suit or khakis and crisp white blouse.

What are you wearing right now?

My favorite beaten-up sweatshirt and flannel pj’s.
