How did you become a designer?
Starting from a background in hand-sewn leather goods, the Carey clan, Star, Suzanne, and Karen came together to fuse their unique design styles into a jewelry line, Anna Carey, named after Star's grandma. With our fashion background, love for beautiful stones and unique metals, all of us behind Anna Carey Jewelry hope to bridge the gap between fine and fashion jewelry.

If you had to pick a favorite design from your collection, what would it be?
The Lapis Lariat. I love the natural bright blue color of lapis. Lapis with gold is a beautiful mix, since it has naturally occurring golden flecks. Because the lariat is open-ended and five feet long, you can create a fun layered look, or wear it long and sexy. I have had fine jewelers approach me about this piece because the quality of the stone we use.
What are you wearing right now?
My gray Havaianas, black leggings, and a cream sweater. Oh, and my everyday faceted ametrine earrings!
