How did you become a designer?
I started Cimber Designs in 2008, combining my interest in natural earth elements, unique rocks, and gem stones with my keen sense of high-fashion and beautiful things. I first discovered my love for handcrafting jewelry while growing up in Connecticut. My early studies in metal smithing provided the background I needed to win the Silver Key Award for a metal sculpture at the Connecticut State Art Fair. Although currently a Lieutenant in the Coast Guard, I am now also living my dream of pursuing a lifelong career in the arts. What’s your inspiration? My line was created with the trendy high fashion woman in mind. Discouraged by the ‘cheap’ and tarnishable quality of costume jewelry, I wanted to produce bold fashion-forward statement jewelry made of high quality materials, yet at affordable prices. What’s your hometown? Miami Beach, FL If you had to pick a favorite design from your collection, what would it be? My one of a kind necklaces made of large agate slices or semi precious stones.
