Biltmore Ballrooms

When my girls and I first walked into the venue, we immediately noticed how beautiful the Biltmore Ballrooms were. The intricate details on the ceilings and the chandeliers were just breathtaking.

A Warm Welcome

Entering Shecky’s Girls Night Out is always a welcoming experience. Groups of girlfriends are shopping and laughing, tables and tables of jewelry, dresses, and makeup are showcased, and the Shecky’s staff and personnel make you feel like a movie star. What more can a girl ask for in an event?

Nicky B’s

This lovely and quaint corner held some of the best items! Homemade items from Kenya that were great quality caught my eye. Nicky B’s also had homemade jewelry, including: necklaces, earrings and bracelets! This vendor was every girl’s dream, especially if they want authentic and unique pieces.

Daniella Baltimore, raised in Philadelphia, now residing in D.C., is changing the way people dream! She inspires her readers to dream big, live out-loud and make no apologies when pursuing their heartfelt aspirations.  Daniella has managed to create her own blog site, danithedreamgirl.com, where you can read her celebrities interviews, catch up on current events and be amazed by real-life success stories!  She’s more than just a Dream Girl; she’s a motivator!

Folks came out far and wide to see acts as varied as Kelly Clarkson, LL Cool J, New Kids on the Block, The Backstreet Boys, The Fray, Steel Panther, Carly Rae Jepsen, “Jersey Shore” DJ Pauly D, The Wanted, Carolina Liar, plus a special reunion by the foxy foursome of popular ’90s boy band, 98 Degrees (yes, it’s officially, our stone-cold crush on Nick Lachey is back in full force!). Whether you spit rhymes with LL, got your groove on to “Call Me Maybe” or swooned like a teenybopper again to Jordan Knight & co., there was plenty of musical fun at Mixtape this year!

Spring Style

I spotted some trendy and super affordable lace floral dresses from Glam by Tabata and glamorous hand bags from Bags ‘n Glitz. The lace dresses were on sale for $10 and the glam bags start at $15-$30—you really can’t beat those prices!

Shanon Yu is a Glambassador for Glamour magazine and an Elite Yelper for Yelp. She is a self-proclaimed beauty and fashion enthusiast and is a huge makeup addict.
