1998
Chris Hoffman, a Wall Street exec, publishes the 1st Shecky’s Bar, Club & Lounge Guide as a fun hobby. Yes ladies, it started with a man very focused on “what women want!” J
2001
Shecky’s guides are a hit with NY ladies (being the social planners that we are!). This leads to Shecky’s Girl’s Guides, Sheckys.com, and a business to be taken seriously.
In December, Shecky’s hosts the 1st Girls Night Out to lift NYC spirits post-9/11 and celebrate its Girl’s Guide to NY Nightlife.
2002
Shecky’s needs a woman’s touch. Claudia Chan merges her event marketing and networking company with Hoffman to form a women’s marketing and lifestyle business… and Shecky’s Media is incorporated!
2003-2007
Sheckys.com, plus its events and content, shift to reflect a more local fun female lifestyle. The brand expands, covering fashion, beauty, events, and “the best of!”
Shecky’s brings girlfriend events and experiences across America (bye bye, publishing).
2008-2009
Shecky’s is the largest producer of “girlfriend experience” events, hosting 80+ days in up to 18 U.S. cities. Hundreds of thousands of women attend.
2010
Today, Shecky’s is the leading “girlfriend experience” company dedicated to empowering and rewarding women to discover and socialize with their girlfriends.
Boasting 1200+ clients and partners (from young designers to fabulous household names), Shecky’s creatively seeks out great brands and services that we feel our members and attendees should know about—just as we would for our #1 girlfriends!
Shecky’s brings the Girls Night Out event fun online so ladies across American can also “discover, experience and get rewarded” with free goodies!
