The utilitarian décor of this shop, located below street level and oriented in a long strip (come to think of it, kind of like a wax-coated piece of muslin), hopefully won’t deter those seeking painted or acrylic nails or hair-free bikini areas, eyebrows, and legs. Aside from a wall-mounted television and a small aquarium, and factoring in the usual marching ranks of manicure and pedicure stations and a waxing room, there isn’t much to look at. Service is efficient, which may explain why there is no waiting room. Perhaps the lucre the salon saved on decorating is what allows them to offer a $35 spa manicure and pedicure deal, touted on a sidewalk placard. The good news is that the roomy rows of manicure and pedicure battle stations make Bebe’s an ideal place for a bridal party powwow.
