Back Bay Hair Designs has a Newbury Street address, but inside, it doesn't feel like it. The vibe is funky and sometimes irreverent; you'll have fun here. Hairstylist Jacqui has orange hair and plays her Green Day CD; clients sometimes bring their dogs, and haircuts are only $42 (as opposed to $100 down the street). The back room, which separates from the front with a sliding door, has a huge old black stove. It hasn't worked in years, but it looks cool. Mirrors are everywhere, and the grey tile floor completes the laid-back feel.
