18 Actually Affordable Wedding Accessories

Details matter when planning a wedding, down to the exact shade of pink Essie polish you and your bridesmaids wear and the post-reception shoes you slip on when you head to the airport. But all of those little things can add up to one big price tag if you’re not careful. That’s why we’ve put together this guide to help you find shoes, jewelry, and even bridesmaid dresses for less than $100 (and in some cases, less than $20). -Natalie Brown

You don’t have to buy Choos to have fab feet on your big day. Whether you go for an accent color or a basic white, you can find almost any look for less than $100. The BCBG Paris Faythe Metallic Sandal ($59.95 at dsw.com) is strappy and elegant, and definitely has wearability potential beyond the ceremony. Going for something more sparkly? Try rsvp Gigi in Gold ($79 at zappos.com). For a shoe that lets you dance until the wee hours of the morning, pick the Lucia Metallic Jewel Encrusted Flip Flops ($29.50 at davidsbridal.com).

You can have matching jewelry for you and your bridesmaids without splurging on real pearls. Go for understated sparkle with the Givenchy Crystal Stud Earrings ($32 at nordstrom.com). Your bridesmaids will be amazed when you pass out Nadri Pearl Hand-Knotted 8mm Pearl Necklaces ($65 each at dillards.com). Or, opt for something more ornate with these Opal Essence Opal Double Drop Pierced Earrings ($55 at carolee.com) — you’ll get a discount if you order 5 or more, so you can hand one out to every bridesmaid.

Hair Accessories

You can have a gorgeous handmade accessory for less than a typical Starbucks order, like this Champagne Satin Flower ($11 on etsy.com). Go feminine with the Bridal Classic Bow ($45 on shopbando.com), or sparkly with the Belle Hair Comb ($35 at lovealwaysannemarie.com).

Bridesmaid Dresses

Put your besties in something they’ll really love, like this Ally McTeal Dress ($59.99 at modcloth.com), a strappy, flowy number. The One Shoulder Chiffon Dress with Petal Detail ($99.99 at davidsbridal.com) comes in over a dozen colors, so you can make sure it fits your wedding’s theme. Go for ultra simple and accessorize in this Pleated A-Line Dress ($24.80 at forever21.com).

Reception Dresses

We like the idea of wearing something white to the reception, even if you don’t want to be burdened by your heavy ceremony dress. Save a little cash for your honeymoon with this Feather Ice Dress ($89.99 at modcloth.com). Looking for something with girly lace? Try this Pleated Texture Lace Dress ($29.80 at forever21.com). Option three: pick an ankle-length maxi, like this ASOS Maxi Dress ($93.25 at asos.com).

Getaway Clothes

Because really, who wants to wear a cocktail dress to the airport? Stay warm on the plane in this Merino Boyfriend Sweater ($88 at jcrew.com) and your favorite pair of jeans, then pull it off to reveal the Soutache Embroidered Henley in Marine ($68 at cwonder.com). Wear cute but comfy shoes, like the Audrey Slip-On Boat Shoe in Platinum Leather ($80 at sperrytopsider.com).

My friend is actually getting married next year and some of her friends are having problem with their wedding accessory when I mentioned that the wedding reception will be at Villa Marcello. So that’s why I’m researching alternatives for them because I selected the venue and I am the wedding organizer. They say an extravagant/luxurious wedding reception venue should be matched with expensive jewelry. I don’t think it is needed to wear expensive stuffs, the bride should! Only the bride has the rights to stand out from the rest and shine bright like a diamond! I think list of alternatives provided online is enough for her friends.
