7 Spooky Nail Art Designs For Halloween
With only two weeks left until Halloween, you’ve likely been struggling with your very own Sophie’s choice—i.e. deciding whether to go as pregnant Snooki or Tan Mom—but just because you’re costume crazed doesn’t mean you should leave your nails out of all the All Hallows Eve fun! These seven nail art designs are festively spooky and relatively easy to recreate, so load up on pumpkin orange polish and deck out those digits for Halloween!

“Dexter” Blood Splatter Nails
Are you a big fan of Showtime’s “Dexter”? The hit show, centered on Michael C. Hall’s blood analyst by day, serial killer by night Dexter Morgan, returned to our Sunday night must-watch TV schedule just a few short weeks ago, so what better time to break out some Dexter-inspired Blood Splatter Nails (from A Diary of a Nail Polish Addict)? Take cues from a forensics expert and lay out newspaper on your workspace (or, if you’re truly Dexter faithful, some plastic wrap). Paint nails with a coat of white polish, then, using a makeup or tooth brush, splatter red polish over the white manicure to create a blood splatter effect, holding the brush about one to three inches above the nail. Once you have the desired splatter look, seal the manicure with a top coat and clean up the excess polish with a Q-tip and polish remover. Gorgeous yet gory, this morbid mani will definitely creep out everybody around you, perfect for Halloween!
