10 Trendiest Pop Culture Costumes of 2012
Honey Boo Boo

“A dolla makes me holla honey boo boo.” With these precocious, provocative words, pageant princess Honey Boo Boo a.k.a. Alana Thompson wormed her little way into our hearts…or at the very least our collective consciousness. A spin-off of TLC’s “Toddlers & Tiaras,” Thompson scored her own show “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” and with it came plenty of water cooler-worthy moments. Get your own sip of special “go-go juice” with a Honey Boo Boo Halloween costume. Start with a pouffy pink pageant gown (the gaudier, the better!) and add a big curly blonde wig, beauty queen tiara, over-the-top makeup, a bottle of Mountain Dew (the aforementioned go-go juice) and a stuffed piglet doll in honor of Honey Boo Boo’s beloved pet Glitzy. Sprinkle on some Southern fried sass and you’ve got a costume worthy of a crown!

I like the Fierce Five and Gotye ideas.
These costumes make me want to sport one of those old school plastic costumes you wore as a kid with the mask you wore on top of your head more than on your face because you actually liked to breathe!!!
haha nice
nice
What about the Girl on Fire??
I agree these are some sad costumes, is this really the best that 2012 had to offer.
Not feeling these at all. I am tired of hearing about Kim and Kayne and I wouldn’t dress my little ones as honey booboo.
Kimye and Honey Boo Boo are cute, but my favorite is The Fierce Five, very inspirational.
Heh heh, Kimye. Cute.
Body paint is about as warm as going naked. Don’t any costumes have ideas with lots of layers?
Dressing up like Fifty Shades of Gray is the same as dressing like a pimp and prostitute, just more literary.
How does one go as a naked royal in chilly weather?
I think I want my husband to go all gangnam style.
