Beer Mac ‘n’ Cheese

Beer. Macaroni. Cheese. Oh yes, it’s happening. This Beer Mac ‘n’ Cheese from Live Love Pasta starts out like your average macaroni and cheese—start grating the cheese, starts boiling the macaroni, start making the roux for the sauce—but then takes an awesomely alcoholic turn as a few glugs of brew are incorporated into the sauce before the cheese (grated sharp cheddar and gouda) and spices (nutmeg, paprika and black pepper) get folded in. Pour the pasta into a baking dish, top it with the beer-spiked cheese sauce and sprinkle it with Panko bread crumbs and plenty of grated romano for a crispy, golden crust. It’ll look and smell so yummy that your kids will want it but this liquor-laden mac ‘n’ cheese is all for mama!
