Beauty Lesson: Don’t put shadow up to your brows.

Blue eyeshadow? Daring and sexy. Up to your eyebrows? Only if you’re applying to clown school! Exhibit A: The Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland. Could it be that her real issue with Alice was because her makeup appeared natural and flawless, while the queen’s was, well…wacky and outdated? Now, we’re not saying all types of eyeshadow up to your brows are bad, but if you must, at least go for a highlighting shadow that will enhance and enlarge your gazers. Steer clear of blue and go for a shimmery neutral tone like MAC Eyeshadow in “Nylon” ($15 on maccosmetics.com) that is sure to brighten up your lids!
