Most TV romances in the ’90s gave us all severely unrealistic expectations of romance and relationships, none more so than that of “Boy Meets World” lovebirds Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence. From middle school puppy love to marriage, Mr. Matthews had eyes for one and only one girl, the crazy-haired hippie girl who’d turn into his wife, Topanga. “All I understood was that she was the girl I sat up every night thinking about, and when I’m with her, I feel happy to be alive. Like I can do anything. Even talk to you like this. So that’s, that’s what I think is love, mom. When I’m better because she’s here,” a teenage Cory tells his mom. We don’t know about you but our high school boyfriends definitely weren’t this sweet!
