Dating Emergency 4: Running Into An Ex

Could there be a more awkward situation that running into an ex on a date? Whether it’s yours or his, the answer is most likely no–running into exes is always super uncomfortable! I once had an ex make out with his date right in front of me and my new guy at a bar. While your instinct may be to run and hide under the nearest table, the polite thing to do is to say a (brief) hello to show there’s no bad blood between anyone. We’re not talking an in-detail, introductory convo–a simple “Hi,” “Bye” and a million-dollar-smile-aren’t-I-gorgeous look will do. After all, you’re an adult and it’s over. No need to act like a middle school girl anymore!

If I forgot a guy’s name who I was on a date with I would simply just refer to him as a pet name like boo, or hun lol until my brain fart is over.
