Sexy Stripes @ Veda

Tie-dye pieces from VEDA’s collection inspired these muted mauve and olive nails that make you want to take a second look. The black stripe creates an elongated look and the background colors are perfect for the fall’s muted colors trend.
What You’ll Need: Butter LONDON’s “Union Jack Black Nail Lacquer“, “Toff Nail Lacquer” or “Sloane Ranger Nail Lacquer“, and “Knackered” on ($14 each at butterlondon.com).
What You’ll Do:
1. Choose a base coat of a mauve or olive shade. Don’t alternate between the two, but make sure there’s an even mix of each color on your nails.
2. Paint a stripe of black down the middle of each nail. Be careful not to let the stripe touch your nail bed.
3. Capture the shiny sheen by applying a top coat of lacquer.

Post a CommentI like the sexy stripes best….
The blown glass look is pretty, but again, too pointy.
Blood dripping? Good for Halloween or Goth parties.
The gingham pattern is cute but those nails are too pointy.
I really like the diagonal French mani.
The first one doesn’t look quite right.
nice
Not a fan of the pointy nails either but I do love the nail trends and various techniques for nail art. I absolutely love ESSIE!
Cute.
Cute look for short nails.
I too am not a fan of any of these styles. I do alot of typing at work, and I am the family’s hairstylist, and chef so my polish chips quite often. Does anyone have a solution for that?
Not a fan of any of these looks or the pointy nails.
