Blue Moon

Nothing hits the spot quite like this citrusy favorite and when you’re not in the mood for anything sugary, tart, or herbal, simply demand Blue Moon. This Belgian-style ale may be creamy and overflowing with hearty oats and wheat, but it’s wonderfully smooth and frosty enough to give 90+ degree evenings a much-needed chill. This Colorado-bred brew highlights a twist of zesty Valencia orange peels, which is faintly sweet, but with a welcoming spicy finish. Not only can you order Blue Moon Ale in nearly any bar, but it’s also available year-round. Sounds like a major win to us!

Sure, Blue Moon is “Colorado-bred,” because it is made by Miller-Coors, one of the two robber barons of the brewing industry in this country. There are much, much better examples of this style out there, and this hardly resembles a true Belgian.
