5 Festive Ideas For Your Labor Day Party
Well that was fun! Summer is wrapping up and Labor Day is right around the corner, which means you’ve better get a move-on planning that farewell-to-summer fête you’re throwing this weekend. To help you be the hostess with the mostess this Labor Day Weekend, we’ve got some easy do-it-yourself recipes and décor ideas to make that bash remind you of the amazing summer you just had. Plus, here’s your chance to reuse your Memorial Day and Fourth of July decorations and make them into something fabulously, festively new for Labor Day!
White Strawberry Sangria

No summer party is complete without a little sangria. Here’s your chance to include one of summer’s best fruits before they’re all gone! For this Strawberry Sangria from In Good Taste, you can snag these items at your local super market and liquor store and will run you around $20-$25.
What you’ll need: 1 750-milliliter bottle dry white wine, such as Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc, 1/2 cup strawberry schnapps, 1/4 cup sugar, 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries, ice cubes and whole strawberries (optional).
What you’ll do:
1. In a two-quart pitcher stir together wine, strawberry schnapps and sugar until sugar is dissolved.
2. Add sliced strawberries. Cover and chill for one to four hours.
3. Serve in glasses over ice. If desired, garnish with whole strawberries. Makes 5 servings.
