Beyond Cake: 6 Sweet New Ideas for Wedding Desserts
Sure, the only thing more classic than a white dress for a wedding is a big ol’ white wedding cake, but with nuptials getting more creative and less traditional, who says that a wedding cake has to necessarily be a cake? To help you plan your reception menu, we’ve rounded up delicious wedding day treats from the ever-popular cupcake and cake pop tiers to offbeat options like brownies and ice cream. Whether you want to add these treats as a fun side to your traditional tiered cake or want to outright replace the cake altogether, you can’t go wrong with these wonderful wedding cake alternatives!

Cupcakes

The most common alternative to a traditional tiered wedding cake is replacing the cake with its smaller, cuter counterpart, the ubiquitous cupcake. Cupcakes saturated the wedding world once a cupcake wedding cake graced the cover of Martha Stewart Weddings and ever since, scores of brides and grooms have opted for tiers of the tiny treats. Wedding cupcakes allow your guests to have easily portable, conveniently individual servings of frosted, baked goodness, and they’re more whimsical than their stodgier traditional cake, allowing even more opportunities for festive decoration, from cupcake stands to dainty liners, pretty sugar flowers to fondant toppings. They’re more cost effective than a big ol’ cake, leaving you more precious pennies to splurge on those “something blue” Louboutins you’ve been eyeing, plus, a tiny cupcake smashed in your face will do way less damage to your much-agonized-over makeup than a huge heaping slice of wedding cake will!

Cake pops are great had them at a baby Shower anda Graduation Party.
I’ve been to a children’s birthday party before and they also had cupcakes instead of cakes. I think it was adorable, since the color they chose was bright pink with butterflies on top. These cupcakes here are just elegant and wonderful. Great wedding desserts, indeed. Do they have packages for these desserts?
