9 Fab Frocks Your Bridesmaids Will Love
Being a bridesmaid is an incredibly bittersweet experience. On the one hand, we’re elated that our friend or family member values our friendship enough that they want us to help them celebrate their love and their union. Great, that part of the whole bridal party thing is super sweet and incredibly touching. But then comes the dreaded day when a bride gathers her girlfriends to try on dresses. We cringe, we hold our breath in anticipation and pray that the dress isn’t a total disaster. If you’re a bride-to-be prepping for your wedding, keep your gal pals in mind and give them a fashionable frock that they’ll love to wear on the big day and beyond!

Post a CommentI like the lace asos dress… but not for my bridesmaids. I’m color-blocking so they can be worn again.
These dresses leave a lot to be desired. Some sleeved ones would help, the first one is pretty but only comes in one color. A shop that would make the gowns every bride envisions would be best.
my bridesmaid dresses would have to be perfect
Check out http://www.littleborroweddress.com. I’m in five weddings this year and the bride who chose dresses we could rent (yes rent) is by far my favorite!!! The dress was really cute, just as nice as the $300 ones from jcrew, but only cost me $50. And I got to send it back…so I don’t have a mint green dress in my closet I’ll never wear again.
All of these dresses are horrible! Whoever picked these have BAD taste. So many cuter dressers out there. YIKES
All but 2 of these dresses are strapless ??
love the burgundy one the first one and the ruched one
Nice
pretty
Dresses are definitely changing for weddings. Some of these will take away from the bride but they are what they are bridesmaids. Wish the we’re as cute back in the day when I did my thing. It’s not their wedding it’s the brides.
Well, the bride (presumably) has selected the dresses and approves of their aesthetic. Perhaps she is more concerned with them feeling cute and comfortable than in dressing them in expensive dresses they dislike and can never wear again. All eyes will be on her. She has no need to worry about anyone else looking too attractive.
oh love the lace too
love the feathered skirt/sweetheart dress
gorgous love these as special occasion dresses as well.
Strapless, strapless, strapless. Big cliche. Big yawn. And as Laureen Biruk pointed out, strapless dresses are unflattering on the majority of women. Sure they look great on 17 year old models, but what doesn’t?
Most of us who are shopping for bridesmaid’s dresses have friends who are real women, with real lumpy bumpy bodies. We don’t want to force our friends to display their less than perfect biceps and triceps, and our fiances REALLY don’t want to watch everybody’s upper arms wobble, jiggle and jaggle while they are dancing the night away.
Here’s an idea — how about showing a bridesmaid’s dress with SLEEVES? Fluttery sleeves, cap sleeves, lacy sleeves. A style women of any age, shape and size can wear and that will make them look pretty instead of appearing to be fashion victims.
I can not agree more with dress number 8, it is the best selection of all of these dresses. This dress is very traditional and would be great to dance in and show of a sexy pair of heels:) The bridesmaids can wear their hair up or down and still look great with out taking anything away from the bride, in fact I believe these dresses would enhance the Bride’s look
I wish you would’ve posted more versatile options. 8 of these are strapless tops which look bad on almost anyone unless you have perfect or fake boobs. Small bosomed girl – no. Slightly overweight (like most Americans) the strapless cuts under the armpit. It also flattens a good chest! Not to mention the entire nite the girls have to pull up the dress during dancing. Not a good call.
This dress is way to busy to be a bridesmaid dress. It will take away from the bride in ny setting. This is a definate NO!!!
The floral dress that it is
