DIY Sweet Summer Dinner Party Decor
Striped Kitchen Utensils

With salads dominating the summer menu scene, it’s only natural to want seriously stylish serving utensils. But, no matter where you go, serving utensils are never extremely cheap! Behold, these adorable gold, teal and white DIY Painted Wood Utensils from The Gold Jellybean. Using only a few materials, you can easily create these fabulous serving spoons and spatulas in a swift 1, 2, 3!
What You’ll Need: Wooden utensils like this Mountain Woods 8 Piece Wooden Utensil Set ($10.95 on amazon.com), teal, white and gold paint primer like Zinsser Oil Based Primer ($8.91 on grainger.com), and blue painters tape.
What You’ll Do:
1. Start by cutting the blue tape into thin and thick strips, varying the size.
2. Place the tape in whatever striped design you wish at the base of each utensil. Make sure you line the utensil stems up side by side to ensure the height of the design is even on all pieces.
3. Spray the paint onto the utensil, but be careful! Don’t allow the spray paint to travel through the air onto the upper part of the utensils to ensure a clean, cool design!
