Yes, she’s a hot mess now but back in the day (a.k.a. 2004), Lohan was one of Hollywood’s most critically-acclaimed comedic actresses, with the release of the hilariously relatable tale of Cady Heron, Regina George & co. in Mean Girls. The natural redhead honed her comedic chops early on, charming the pants off of everyone with her take on the scheming, switching twins in the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap. Poised to be Hollywood’s most beloved redhead since Ball herself, Lohan continued her comedic quest throughout her teens, with the well-received Freaky Friday and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, but her paparazzi-hounded personal life quickly took over the spotlight and, despite occasional cameos on comedies like “Ugly Betty” and “Glee” and hosting gigs on “Saturday Night Live”, Lohan hasn’t dipped her toe in the comedy pool in years.
