10 Inspirational Female Olympians
Shannon Miller

Shannon Miller is one of America’s most talented gymnasts and is the most decorated gymnast in American history. With a total of two gold medals, two silver medals and 3 bronze, not to mention her 59 international and 49 national championship wins, Miller has definitely had her share of personal triumph. After retiring from competitive gymnastics, she went on to get her BA and JD from Boston College and pursue women’s health and wellness initiatives. In 2011, Shannon was devastated when she was diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer. Again, Miller fought, triumphed and is thankfully now cancer-free! She has continued her health and wellness endeavors through her company, Shannon Miller Lifestyle: Health and Fitness for Women. Today, although she may not be competing, you can find Shannon in London where she is an analyst for Yahoo! Sports.
