Black on Black

To make the black on black French manicure your own, you’re going to need to find two polishes with differing textures. Your base coast should be a black matte nail polish like SpaRitual’s Mind, Body, Spirit Nail Lacquer in “Body” ($10 from soap.com) and a shinier black polish like OPI Black Onyx ($7.09 from sleekhair.com) for the tips. When you paint your base matte coat, remember that matte nail polish is not meant to be used with a base coat or top coat, as that will make the polish shine and not contrast dramatically against the OPI polish, which is the exact opposite of what you want for this chic French manicure look!
