1950s: High Pony Tail

Bring back the fabulous 50s with this retro-inspired high ponytail! The blonde bombshell Julianne Hough rocked this retro hairdo on the red carpet recently, proving that the fifties are back and better than ever. To get this lavish look, all you need is a little teasing with a comb, a Bump-It Kit ($4.97 at amazon.com), and a ponytail holder. Start by sectioning off the hair around the crown of your head, and teasing the air with a comb. Simply place the correct bump-it under the hair (the directions will be provided!) and pull the rest of your hair up into a high ponytail. Your hair should have a bump on the crown of your head, and your pony tail should sit high. Hairspray the do if you prefer, and viola! You have the perfect retro look to rock this summer.
