With Comic Con kicking off today and Embrace Your Geekness Day dawning on us tomorrow, we’ve got geeks on the mind, and luckily, Hollywood’s chock full of drool-worthy nerds. No ladies, that is not an oxymoron. Those bespectacled poindexters you remember playing Dungeons and Dragons in the cafeteria in high school have been replaced by some serious hotties who, though, yes, still harbor some definitely dweebish tendencies, balance it out with undeniable sex appeal. Here are our favorite adorkable actors of screens both silver and small—come on gals, geek out!

John Krasinski

Best known for playing the equally adorkable Jim Halpert on “The Office“, Krasinski toes the hot line between high school jock (the 6 ft. 3 actor naturally played basketball in school, displaying his considerable b-ball skills on the first season of “The Office”) and total bookworm, graduating from Brown University as a playwright. His lit geek status was solidified when the two-time People’s Sexiest Men Alive inductee took on the arduous task of adapting David Foster Wallace’s Brief Interviews with Hideous Men to film (which he wrote and directed!) in ’09. If this is what nerdy guys had been like back in the day, high school would have been way different!
