Lobster and Bacon Mac & Cheese

Back away from that blue box. You know the one. You won’t need any of that boxed mac and cheese variety once you sink your teeth into a forkful of this Lobster and Bacon Mac & Cheese from 30 Days 30 Ways Mac And Cheese. Cavatappi, the fancy cousin of elbow macaroni, is folded into a creamy cheese sauce made of grated Wisconsin smoked cheddar cheese, grated Havarti, butter, half and half, hot sauce, smoked paprika, flour, salt and pepper, whisked in a saucepan until it’s ooey gooey goodness. Then the mixture gets taken up a notch with the addition of chopped fresh lobster meat and chopped crispy bacon, and is then divided evenly into individual ramekins (your own bowl o’ heaven!). Sprinkle the top with panko bread crumbs, drizzle some melted butter on top, bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly, then dig in!
