Where My Girls At: The Rise, Fall & Hopeful Return of Girl Groups

TLC

Crazy, sexy, cool—those three words are not only the title of the ‘90s R&B group’s massive, diamond-certified second album but they also aptly sum up the talented trio of Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and Rozanda ‘Chilli” Thomas. The group had hit after hit in the ‘90s, from “Creep” to “Waterfalls” to “No Scrubs,” and with over 55 million albums sold, they’re still the best-selling American girl group of all time, though their super success was cut short following Left Eye’s tragic, untimely death in 2002. The group continued on as TLC over the years, with a rumored biopic being developed by VH1 and a reunion tour announced in April that will celebrate TLC’s 20th anniversary and pay memory to Left Eye, who will make digital appearances onstage a la the Tupac hologram at Coachella. We’ll definitely be getting tickets to that tour!
