5 Nail Polish Brands You’ve Just Gotta Try
Don’t tell the mascaras in my bin, but I actually love nail polishes more than I love mascaras. Most find this revelation to be pretty wacky considering I have a blog with a heavy concentration on mascara, but there’s just something so utterly fantastic about nail polish. Could it be that there are so many colors, formulas and design options? Or maybe it’s how a simple polish change can totally accessorize your outfit? I know my fellow nail polish gals out there understand! For the nail polish-obsessed, I’m shootin’ you some of my favorite lesser known polish brands. Oh, how I love butter LONDON ($14/ea. on butterlondon.com)! I have already deemed this brand as one of my favorite higher-end nail polish brands and I don’t see anyone taking that title away from them any time soon. I love everything about butter, from their rectangular bottles to their quirky British-inspired polish names like “All Hail the Queen” and “Union Jack Black” and, of course, the beautiful colors! butter LONDON’s polishes, as pricey as they are, stand out simply because they produce many never-seen-before shades. I’m a fan of Sinful Colors because I love being able to experiment on the cheap (and it makes me happy just LOOKING at my bottle of swirly, shimmery purplegreen), and I might have to give Jesse’s Girl a try (let’s not ask how much of my reasoning is my love for Rick Springfield, okay?)… I’m not a spurlger when it comes to… well, anything, but Butter and England are pretty tempting looking, so I guess never say never, right?
