This Father’s Day, give dad a break from the grill and show off your own cooking skills with these delicious dad-approved dishes. Dads are generally pretty easy to please—just give them something with bacon, beer, cheese or a tasty combo of the three, and you have yourself one happy pop. The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach and with these bacon cupcakes, chipotle mac ‘n’ cheese and beer pancakes, dad’s heart will definitely be full of love for his darling children this Father’s Day!

Campfire Beer Pancakes

Breakfast in bed is always nice, but it’s much more awesome for dad when its Campfire Beer Pancakes from chow.com. It may be too early to crack open a cold one (although on dad’s day, who knows!), so now you can serve dad some brew in a more morning appropriate form.

What You’ll Need: 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup white sugar, 3/4 teaspoon baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 egg, beaten, 1 cup beer & 2 table spoons melted butter.

What You’ll Do: Stir together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Pour in the beaten eggs, beer and melted butter, and stir with a whisk until mixed. Heat your skillet over medium heat and coat with vegetable oil and spoon batter onto hot surface. Flip your pancake when when bubbles appear and cook until golden brown. Serve to dad and see if he notices your special ingredient!
