A Very Vampy True Blood Viewing Party
I don’t know about you, but I have been waiting for what seems like forever for season five of True Blood to premiere, and I’m elated that it’s finally here! For my fellow Sookie and Bill-loving fanatics, the premiere is an awesome reason to invite your friends over to join you for an evening of blood-sucking and shape-shifting excitement Sunday night. Cook up some festive themed foods and stirrup some bloody cocktails and get ready to lust over Jason Stackhouse, Eric Northman and the other to-die-for residents of good old Bon Temps, Louisiana!

Bloody Good Sips

Bill and Eric might prefer Sookie’s blood when they’re thirsty, but I’m sure your guest will prefer a bloody good red-hued ‘tail to the real deal. if this is the case, a Vampire Kiss Martini or a Belvedere Bloodsucker is the festive cocktail for your True Blood bash!
Vampire Kiss Martini:
What you’ll need: Vodka, champagne, Chambord raspberry liqueur.
What You’ll Do: Mix 1 part chilled vodka, 1 part champagne and 1 part Chambord. Top the drink off by pouring Chambord over the back of a spoon for a flowing blood effect and enjoy.
Belvedere Bloodsucker:
What You’ll Need: 1.5 oz. Belvedere Pink Grapefruit,1/2 oz. Campari, 1 bottle of Tru Blood soda
What You’ll Do: Shake and strain into a rocks glass with cubed ice. Float 1.5 oz. Tru Blood blood orange soda ($15.99 from hbo.com)on the surface and garnish with a blood orange wedge.
