An amped-up pony is the perfect ‘do to beat heat-induced frizz and flyaways this summer, so we got professional tips and tricks of the ‘tail trade from celeb hairstylists Stacey Ellis and Natasha Sunshine of ByuTi Salons to help you recreate this summer’s hottest pony styles. Sleek Ponytail

A sleek, slicked-back ponytail will keep you looking put together even when frolicking around in the surf and sand. To recreate the sleek styles that took Fashion Week by storm, simply:

1. Smooth the hair with hairspray and a comb.
2. Tie into ponytail, high or low.
3. Take a small section of hair from the ponytail, smooth it with hairspray and wrap around the base of the ponytail and pin underneath.
4. Flat iron the ponytail for a sleek, smooth finish.
