The Haute & Not of the 2012 Met Gala
Beyoncé
Unlike Solange, big sister Beyoncé didn’t fashionably fare quite as well at the gala. The “Single Ladies” singer was the last to arrive to the red carpet at Monday’s fashionable festivities, but boy did she make an entrance—and not a good one! While I’ve got to give it up to the new mom for having the cojones to bare her post-Blue Ivy bod in this see-through Givenchy gown, it was simply too much going on, what with the sheerness, lace, sequins and a skirt that looked like she ran over a Muppet and dragged it along with her on the red carpet. The only positive of this look? It’s nice to know that even a superhuman like Beyoncé has an off day every once in a while!

Post a CommentWait, so you don’t like Lana Del Rey, but that other girl in a dress made of metal scales is ‘hot’? Sometimes I don’t get these lists…
Dunst and Welch were prepped for Christmas one looking like Miss Claus and the other looking like a Christmas tree with the fake snow sprayed all over. The dark lip stick wasn’t working for me on the ones who rocked it. Solange looked great hair and all.
Solange looks great!
I like Lana Del Rey’s look… it is a bit goth, but it fits her
I have to say Solange Knowles looks very nice.
I agree with missrebeccachan about Leighton’s tanner! It was a bit much
I actually liked Lana Del Rey’s dress with the exception of the cape and I was surprised by how much I liked Carey Mulligan’s look.
love solange she looks really good. Beyonce dresses was another beautiful dress.
Well I think she looked great! Solange did as well..
Loved this dress

Agreed
Solange: the hair! that dress! she was right on the money with her look.
I’m not in love with Carrie Mulligan’s dress but her hair and makeup look perfect.
I actually like the theatricality of Leighton and Beyonce’s dresses…but Leighton needs to tone it down with the self-tanner.
