Admit it, you’re guilty of lying! Oh stop it, don’t even deny it. Hell, we all lie—especially when it comes to our men. You may think, “They’re white lies, no big deal right?” Wrong! Thing is, lies always come back to haunt you. Many of us lie because it helps dodge uncomfortable situations. As the cliché goes, the truth shall set you free. In honor of National Honesty Day, I’ve listed a few scenarios that women regularly lie about and ways to help improve communication with your significant other and tackle some hard-to-answer questions!

Scenario #1: The Report Card

The Lie: “Wow that was fast— uh, best sex ever!”

When it comes to sex, nobody wants to be the bearer of bad news. It’s damn right awkward! Instead of faking the big “O,” kindly suggest new and fun ways to heat things up. If he’s a one-minute-man, learn to slow things down and help him relax or if he’s sexually challenged, visit your local bookstore and get acquainted with the self help aisle. Make sure you reassure him by emphasizing what rocks your boat and how you enjoy when he does “this” and “that”—remember, guys are really sensitive about the bedroom so choose your words wisely!
