Pretty Plants Even a Black Thumb Couldn’t Kill

1 2 3 4 5

We all have the best of intentions when it comes to caring for plants, but sometimes watering them can completely slip your mind. If you’re in need of a reminder every now and then, the GivingPlants Potted Peacy Lily ($39.99 on Amazon.com) will begin drooping when it feels dehydrated. Talk about effective communication!

GIRL TALK TIME: Will you give any of these a try? Are you able to maintain greenery in your home? What’s your favorite plant?

I love the peace lily. Think i might give it a try. I’ve had an orchid plant for some time now but its starting to look a little sick… don’t know why but i’m still working on it… hope it doesn’t die because it’s so beautiful when it blooms.

I LOVE plants. For some reason, I just can’t keep them alive. I really don’t want artificial plants either. I Jade plant is one I’ve always liked since I was a kid. I should probably buy one now since two 1 of 2 plants is on it’s death bed. :(

I’ve killed cactus , even hostas, but I keep trying… last year, my daughter (aged 8 at the time) wanted to start some seedlings & from them came beautiful flowers & even some (small, but edible) bell peppers…she had the magic touch & only allowed me to water them every now & then, so we both got to enjoy some nice plants all summer long. We just started some seedlings a couple of weeks ago, so will see what this year brings!

I have always admired the look of plants in a home but only recently started to dress my home with them. My favorite are the “elephant ears”, they grow so beautifully IMO…I now have a few hanging plants (no elephant ears), I haven’t the faintest idea of what they are or how they should be cared for. I’ve just been watering and singing to them, seems to be working. I recently rescured a Majesty Fern from a coworker, repotted it and have been trying a little TLC to nurse it. So far so good, but I have been reading up on the indoor ferns…seems like many do not feel that it is a great plant to keep indoors in NYC! Oh well it was free but I will be purchasing others, maybe home depot again, never thought to look on Amazon so thank you for that Shecky’s!
