Be Yours This Valentine’s Day

Ahh, Valentine’s Day…a time that just about every single dreads, mostly for its polarizing affect. It’s a day where those without a mate are faced with an endless barrage of hand-holding-lip-locking-chocolate-heart-eating-red-rose-giving-over-commercialized ickiness! But Valentine’s Day doesn’t need to be all doom and gloom. There are ways to turn your disdain for this day into something more delightful and delicious. How about starting by spinning the term and meaning of “Be Mine” into a new, independent mantra?

We’re here to share our tips on how to Be Yours this Valentine’s Day:

VALENTINE’S DINNER DATE

Since Valentine’s Day is all about showing love, share that love with your single soul sisters! Make a homemade Valentine (fold a piece of construction paper in half, trace one half of a heart and cut along the line) invitation. On the invite, tell your sweethearts to bring a dish (appetizers, entrees, cocktails, etc). Get some fun chick flicks to watch after dinner and enjoy the fact that you have a house full of the most gorgeous and loving Valentines ever.

I love this time. I have done Volunteer Work for years with the aging population. This is the best day to do volunteer work. So many elderly peoples has no one to show them love and someone to care about them on Valentine Day

Great time to get together with your closeset GF’s for lunch or even the day or weekend before to do a pre-Vday celebrating. That way you make it about those important in your life than just a romatic thing!

Secret VDay is such a great idea for a group of girlfriends or to mix things up, even guy friends just to put them on the spot and give them ‘more practice’
