How-tos for Best Golden Globe Hairdos
Awards shows always garner “oohs” and “aahs” from picture-perfect dresses, but what about the hairdos that celebs sport? We think these ladies deserve a trophy for their marvelous manes. Best part is, celeb stylist Natasha Sunshine has the scoop with how-tos to get the looks at home!
Best: Updo

Maria Menounos gave a beautifully modern spin to a classic—the updo.
To get the look, start with a styler with a bit of hold like Pureology’s Colour Stylist Nourishing Nectar Sculpting Gel ($28 on ULTA.com). Spread evenly throughout and blow hair dry with a medium-sized round brush (try Ibiza Hair’s – Medium Blonde Boar Bristle Brush, $43). Pin each section after drying with a long pin to lock in the bounce.
Then, pull hair up into a hair ponytail. Leave the front section out. Lace or tease the pony lightly and smooth over into a large bun, making sure to keep the fullness of the bun by not combing out the lacing.
Finish the bun by pulling the ends across the front side and securing with a long U-shaped hair pin.
Finally, pull the front section back, wrapping it into the bun and fastening with a grip or bobby. Give a final dose of hairspray like Pureology’s In Charge Plus – Firm Finishing Spray ($17.49 on Sleekhair.com) for added hold.
