Heat Up Your Home with Hawaiian-Style Decor

Would kill for a trip somewhere tropical this wintry time of year, but can’t go because of the post-holiday hit your bank account took? Yes, you could throw a luau party and purchase some run-of-the-mill leis and tiki lights from your local Party City, but what about adding some permanent Hawaiian-style fixtures to your home? See below for six island-inspired pieces I love!

Since firing up tiki torches inside might not be the best idea, snap up LumiSource’s Kalani Luau Lantern™ Table Lamp (SALE: $47.49 on Kohls.com). A fierce tiki face on a ceramic lamp gets inviting once it’s lit up. Use it to, er, fire up a fiesta or just keep it on your desk as incentive to save up for a real vacation to Hawaii!

Not really my style, but interesting to say the least.

I was prepared to hate everything on this list but I actually like everything except that Tiki lamp. It’s creepy to have a little head watching you all the time…

Any cultural type decor can be tacky/cheesy if it is not done right. I kinda like the bedding set. Singling out one room is a nice touch. Less is more
