“When Love is Meant to Be, It Will Always Find a Way.”

Happy Hump Day! We know the middle of the week can be a drag, so we’re introducing our bi-weekly series of inspiring posters from best-selling author Karen Salmansohn.

Karen brings fun nuggets of self-help advice on her blog daily (or more than daily!) on notsalmon.com.

EDITOR’S TAKE: We devote a tremendous amount of time and energy to “finding our missing piece.” Some of us dislike being on our own so much that we hold on to a relationship that isn’t working just so we don’t have to be (gasp!) single. We buy into the romantic comedies, and expect to find Prince Charming, yet cling to slimy toads.

Ladies, a healthy relationship is balanced. You both call each other. You both make plans. You both compromise. You both “jiggle” your lives, your habits, everything around a little to fit. But, a relationship shouldn’t be like trying to jam two mismatched puzzle pieces together, hoping that if you bend one corner just a liiittle bit that it’ll work out and just fit already! There’s only so much jiggling one poor, little piece can take.

Today, I want you to stop the frustration and realize that being single is immensely better than being with someone who is not a good match. The right partner will be willing to jiggle a little to fit with you. We all deserve a healthy, happy relationship where things just click together to create a beautiful picture.

Karen Salmansohn is a best-selling author with over 1 million books sold. Karen is known for creating self-help for people who wouldn’t be caught dead reading self-help. Some titles: HOW TO BE HAPPY DAMMIT, ENOUGH DAMMIT, THE BOUNCE BACK BOOK, etc. Her fans: Tony Robbins, Jon Stewart, Marisa Tomei, Goldie Hawn, Peter Guber, Tim Ferriss, Gretchen Rubin, etc. Karen not only writes her best-sellers, she also creative directs them—along with her posters—which she calls Inspirational Flashcards, because they quickly remind people how to live their highest potential life.

Karen is a columnist for Oprah.compsychologytoday.comhuffingtonpost.com, and she’s also an international motivational speaker. Her mission: wake up sleepy minds, hearts and spirits so people can live their happiest lives!

Plus, check Karen out on the new and improved notsalmon.com. Browse tons of free art and inspiring posters (like the above), or integrate Karen’s sage tidbits into your everyday life with screensavers for cellphones and laptops, as well as free e-cards. Plus, sign up for Karen’s free Be Happy Dammit newsletter and receive a complimentary chunkette from her best-selling book, The Bounce Back Book (Tony Robbins is a fan!).

BONUS! If you post your FAVORITE QUOTE in the comments (something you’ve heard, read or always say), Karen will pick one lucky Shecky’s quote per month to morph into a poster (just like the one above!). Best part? Eventually, Karen will be selling some of the sayings as posters, tees or coffee mugs…so you could buy your favorite quote!

GIRL TALK TIME: What does this quote mean to you? Have you found your “perfect fit” yet? Are you still single and searching?

I read your blog religiously. Like you, I am single but want to have a baby by the time I turn 50 in the worst way. I guess I will go purchase your book, How to make your man behave in 21 days or less using the secrets of a successful dog trainer. Thanks

The quote I live by: Life – it’s not how it is, but how you look at it.

I will be purchasing this book, I have been single too long, have not found that perfect fit yet.
