It has been statistically proven that most breakUP’s happen right before the holidays (December—to be exact). There is no perfect time for a breakUP, but it seems downright cruel for it to happen during what’s supposed to be “the most wonderful time of the year.” So what do we do when faced with the breakUP blues? We have tried and tested countless techniques to heal your hurting heart and turn your break-up into a breakthrough. Here are five to get you started!

Tip #1 – Get Crafty

We often hear artists say that they get lost in their art—they become so captivated by what they’re creating, they forget about the outside world. How great does that sound, especially when your heart is in repair? All you have to do is tap into your inner artist by diving into a crafty activity.

Creating something from scratch allows you to take your attention off of your heartache and put it on the fun task at hand. Paint a picture of your favorite travel destination, make a collage based on future wants, tackle that dessert recipe you’ve been dying to eat. Put your creativity to the test and escape into the experience!
