Fun & Affordable Capes

With this back-and-forth weather, I always feel like I need an in-between outerwear option. Ladies, let me introduce you to the perfect fall find to, er, weather the weather—the cape! Capes aren’t new, but they are incredibly in style this season. Don’t think this trend will look right on you? Check out my picks for every body shape below!

A camel-colored cape, like the Pleated Button Cape Coat by Jolt ($44.99 at Macy’s), looks great paired with fall’s earth tones and neutral hues. The lightweight wool blend cape features three-quarter batwing sleeves, a V-neck, notched lapel with pleated collar and an elastic waistband. Add a chunky print scarf for a chic, Parisian look.

Uhhh? Why not just buy a coat? #2 looks like a large sweatshirt with sleeves cut out!

I didn’t think I would like ANY of them, but I actually liked #3.
    But I agree with cynthia.
I tried one on the other day and was embarrasssed when I looked in the mirror!

i love the capes, but, i never see anyone wearing them. i have one from the past, but it makes me look very large because i am already top heavy.

#2 – that’s different – not sure that I like the sweatshirt one though. Kinda like what we already have for exercise clothes

I like the cape but it doesn’t fit my body type. I’m top heavy and wearing it just makes me look even bigger.
