Halloween will be a thing of the past in two weeks, but one thing that will be in all season long is dark, goth-inspired clothing. Yep, black doesn’t have to be boring or businesslike. From combat boots to leather pants, here are five ways that you can rock edgy pieces well after All Hallows’ Eve.

Leather Pants
Leather pants are the perfect way to add a li’l edge right now. Topshop’s Shiny Faux Leather Skinny Trousers ($66) are comfy, chic, and a cool change from basic black jeans or leggings. Dress them down with a baggy off-the-shoulder sweater or, for a more sophisticated look, pair ‘em with a sleek blazer.

by the way… none of these looks are “goth” to me. Leather pants are “rocker”, bowler hats are 20′s-40′s, maxi skirts are more 60′s (black doesn’t equal goth), capes are every equestrian inpired… none of these scream goth to me… what do you think ladies?
My mom gave me a cape 2 years ago, then I said gee thanks mom, now I’m saying THANK YOU MOM! Sometimes Mom’s have the best fashion sense.
I do love the bowler hats, they are great to seek out at thrift stores. I have one that is a rust color and foldable in many styles and shove in luggage friendly, I bought it with tags and all at a flea market while visiting in va.
Leather pants I’m not sold on, however leather skirts and even shirts I like. Maybe I’ll try them. Pleather is a no-no.
the skirt is a tricky piece, I do like it, but not with the sweater. To keep it looking to goth I would opt for a girlie piece uptop and a cute belt with shoes that ARE NOT flats.
capes are okay – i’ve seen them but I haven’t yet bought one
#2 – look too witchy – not a good look
pass on the leather pants – I don’t think regular people can pull that look off – only if you are a celeb rocker – otherwise I think you look silly
#4 – so not lady like – only a few should wear that look
#3 – I can’t below that look is coming back – I think it’ll pass pretty quickly
the bowler hat is quite cute.
