The Girls’ Guide to Playing Golf

1 2 3 4 5

What is it about golf that can make even the most self-assured, accomplished women feel like a little girl? Golf can be a frustrating, seemingly-impossible game, but it can also be an opportunity to schmooze and do business. Friendships on the course can lead to great networking and career opportunities, so pluck up some courage, rent/borrow some clubs and follow the top five rules for playing with the boys!

Dress the part – You need to dress like a golfer if you want to be taken seriously. Wear appropriate-length shorts, skorts or pants (no bootie shorts, ladies!) with low socks. If your shirt is sleeveless, make sure it has a collar, and remember to always wear a hat or a visor. You can still look and feel sexy in golf outfits, but keep within these style parameters to stay respected on the course. Check out the latest golf fashion trends at Loud Mouth Golf and Puma that will ensure your style is a hole in one!

GetUrMojo is a community dedicated to Rediscovering Passion, Growing from Giving, Getting Inspired and Shaking the Routine through quarterly events, activities and workshops that bring great minds together at fun events for healthy and invigorating refills of mojo.

Golf is incredibly hard! I’ve been playing for years, but I only play a few times each season so it’s hard to really advance in the sport. All those tips are really helpful though…and just hitting a bucket at the driving range is fun on its own too :)

I have never played Golf in my life and my husband also doesn’t play so I’m okay if I don’t know how to play or don’t know the terminology or rules.
